‘Kin Hell Fest unveiled its latest line-up poster over the weekend, excellently designed by Steve Myles of the recently departed Khuda. It heralded the announcement on Sunday that local cult hard rock legends Asomvel have been added to the line-up for ‘Kin Hell Fest 2013! They will be performing on the Saturday evening and will be sure to get heads banging and fists in the air. It’s not all about extremity here as you can see, and you Mot√∂rhead, Stuns Squadron, Tank et al fans are going to be in for a treat!

However, the line-up for the festival was further altered after Belgian grind crew A Den of Robbers pulled out. There’s still one spot left for the festival and your band can be a part of it. Just check out the image below, all you people in bands, cos here’s your chance to be part of the extreme festival of the year! Please note however, that now you only have until the end of Tuesday 9th April to apply, and demand is high. Good luck!

A Den of Robbers – Plagues

Just prior to the turn of the year Belgian d-beat/grinders A Den of Robbers put out a new video for the song ‘Plagues’, taken from the split release with fellow Belgians Alkerdeel on Counseling Records. A fine song it is, and a fine video it is too, with some live¬†shots of the band, as well as a few unconventional circle pits that they may or may not have started. Its not the most spectacular vid but it is striking, and if you’ve never heard them before, be sure to check them out now before they hit the UK for ‘Kin Hell Fest in April. Excellent stuff.

And the first bands for ‘Kin Hell Fest 2 are…

It’s barely been a week since the sequel to the original ‘Kin Hell Fest in Leeds was announced, and already the festival has secured the first eleven bands for its new three-day format!

So without further ado, here they are:

Yes yes yes! That flyer does confirm shithot death-thrashers Flayed Disciple, drone overlords Bong, avant-garde black metallers A Forest of Stars and some ripping death metal filth from Cancerous Womb are just a few of the names confirmed to tear up The Well! Also announced, returning from last year’s fest are The Atrocity Exhibit and Foetal Juice, who smashed the fest a new one last year, and more new names in the form of Masochist and Nu Pogodi.

And for the first time, the fest is bringing over Euro acts for the first time, in the shape of Belgium’s Alkerdeel & A Den of Robbers, plus Holland’s party grind legends Rompeprop, whose name is most prominent on the above flyer and with good reason too! Wow, this is shaping up very nicely indeed!

Ticket prices will be announced shortly. The fest will run from 7pm-midnight on the Friday, from 12pm to midnight on the Saturday, and from 1-9pm on the Sunday, allowing plenty of time for that last train home.

The official ‘Kin Hell Fest site has all the videos and info you need on the bands, so get over there now and prepare yourself for one of 2013’s top extreme parties!
